Screenflow 10: How To Use Video Actions (To Resize Windows)

This tutorial will show you how to resize and animate windows using Video Actions in Screenflow 10. This is particularly useful if you are editing a video interview such as a LiveStream or Podcast and you want to resize and change the position of the host and guest windows.

How To Add Video Actions to Clips on the Timeline
- Select Any Clip on the Timeline
- Go to the Inspector Panel
- Click on the Video Property (first icon in the Inspector Panel
- Click on +Action (this adds a yellow action marker on the clip)
- Then select the clip on the Canvas and resize and move to desired position
- Click off the clip on the Timeline (the video action marker turns purple)
- Move the playhead back in time
- Press the Spacebar to preview
- Drag out the duration of the Video Action to slow down the animation and make the Video Action smaller to increase the speed.
How To Reverse the Video Action to Original Size & Position
- Drag playhead to the desired location
- Select Clip
- Go to the top menu
- Select ‘Action’
- Select ’Snapback Action’
- Select ‘Video’
- Press the Spacebar to preview
How To Add Video Actions Using Style Presets (prepared in advance):
- Select Any Clip on the Timeline
- Go to the Inspector Panel
- Click on the Video Property (first icon in the Inspector Panel)
- Click on +Action (this adds a yellow action marker on the clip)
- Click on the Cube icon
- Select the pre-made Style Preset
- Move the playhead back in time
- Press the Spacebar to preview
- Drag out the duration of the Video Action to slow down the animation and make the Video Action smaller to increase the speed.
