How To Silence Audio in Adobe Audition CC 2023:
- Open Audio in the Waveform Editor
- Make a selection of audio
- Go to the Effects Menu and select ‘Silence’ or,
- Right-click on the selection and select ’Silence’
How To Create Keyboard Shortcut for Silence:
- Go to Edit Menu and select ‘Keyboard Shortcuts’ or use Opt/Alt + K
- Search for ’Silence’
- Click in the empty space in the Shortcuts column
- Enter in Opt/Alt + X or any available combination of keystrokes you want
- Click Ok
- Go to Effects Menu and confirm new keyboard shortcut is next to ‘Silence’
