How To Save Compositions As Photoshop Layers in Adobe After Effects CC 2023:
- Create or Open a Composition with multiple layers
- Select either the Comp Window or Timeline Panel
- Go to the Composition Menu at the top
- Go to ‘Save Frame As’
- Select ‘Photoshop Layers’ and click
- Change File Name if desired
- Choose destination on hard drive
- Click ’Save’
In Photoshop:- Open .PSD File
- Add Layers, make changes to design, etc
- Click ‘File’ …Save when done
Return to After Effects:- Import .PSD File
- Choose ‘Composition…Retain Layer Sizes’
- ‘Editable Layer Styles’
- ‘Create New Composition’ checked
- Double-click to Open New Photoshop-modified comp
- Copy/Paste Layers as needed
