This tutorial will show you activate Quick Shapes to draw Perfect Shapes (Circle, Square, Triangle, etc) in Procreate and to use ‘Magnetic Rotate’ to rotate shapes in increments of 15 degrees while drawing Shapes.

How To Draw Quick Shapes in Procreate:

1. Add a new layer
2. Select a brush
3. Draw a shape roughly like the one you want to be ‘perfect’ (circle, square, triangle, etc)
4. When you close the starting and end points do not lift finger or Apple Pencil off screen
5. Wait until ‘Quick Shape’ mode is activated
6. You can now scale and rotate
7. Let go and look in the top center of the canvas
8. Tap to edit shape and select the option to create a ‘Perfect Shape’

How To Activate Magnetic Lasso in Procreate:

1. Add a new layer
2. Select a brush
3. Draw a shape roughly like the one you want to be ‘perfect’ (circle, square, triangle, etc)
4. When you close the starting and end points do not lift finger or Apple Pencil off screen
5. Take 1 finger from the opposite hand that is not holding Apple Pencil or pressing on screen
6. Rotate in either direction and it will be in 15 degree increments while the second finger is on screen
7. Pressing 1 finger from opposite hand will also convert original drawing to ‘Perfect Shape’
8. Let go and look in the top center of the canvas
9. Tap to edit shape and select the option to create a ‘Perfect Shape’
