My audio kit is one that I have accumulated over the years as a singer-songwriter and as I started making videos and recording tutorials, etc. The Shure SM7B is my favorite mic I have ever owned and the Rode NTG3 is incredible. Of course they are the most expensive on the list, but both are solid.
The second list (Popular Online) are microphones I hear about over and over on Podcaster Blogs & various sites that discuss gear and equipment. Pat Flynn from SmartPassiveIncome.com has raved about the Heil PR-40 for years as have a lot of others, who note this as one of the best podcast mics for the money.
