How To Check For Error Message in Adobe Lightroom Classic on MacOS:

  1. Open Adobe Lightroom Classic on MacOS Mojave or later
  2. Wait until app loads and if you get an error message about ‘access to some Standard folders’
  3. Then check to see if there are exclamation marks in thumbnails indication ‘Missing Photos


How To Fix Adobe Lightroom Classic Standard Folders Error on MacOS:

  1. Click on the Apple Icon in the top-left corner of Mac
  2. Click on ’System Settings’
  3. Click on ‘Privacy & Security’
  4. Click on ‘Files & Folders’
  5. Twirl open Adobe Lightroom Classic
  6. Confirm all Folders & Volumes are toggled on (blue)
  7. Back out to previous menu
  8. Click on ‘Full Disk Access’
  9. Skim all applications and confirm Lightroom Classic is missing
  10. Go to the very bottom and click on Plus (+)
  11. Enter MacOS  Password
  12. Locate Adobe Lightroom Classic in Applications Folder
  13. Select and click Open
  14. Click on ‘Quit & Reopen’ in the pop-up window
  15. Error Message Should Be Gone


How To Fix Exclamation Mark (Missing Photos):

  1. Right-click on Photo Library Folder in Lightroom Library
  2. Click on ‘Find Missing Folder’
  3. Navigate to main Lightroom Folder on your hard drive
  4. Select & click ‘Choose’
  5. All Exclamation Marks should be gone
  6. Quit Lightroom Classic
  7. Re-open Lightroom Class
  8. Error Message Popup and Exclamation Marks should be gone


How To Add Permissions for Adobe Lightroom CC on MacOS:

  1. Click on the Apple Icon in the top-left corner of Mac
  2. Click on ’System Settings’
  3. Click on ‘Privacy & Security’
  4. Click on ‘Full Disk Access’
  5. Skim all applications and confirm Lightroom is missing
  6. Go to the very bottom and click on Plus (+)
  7. Enter MacOS  Password
  8. Locate Adobe Lightroom CC in Applications Folder
