The Highlight color is the stroke color you see when you click on any panels and the color used when selecting Tools or the interface text color.

  1. How To View The Current Highlight Color in Adobe After Effects CC 2023:

    1. Click on ‘After Effects’ in the top Menu
    2. Click on ’Settings’
    3. Click on ‘Appearance’
    4. Go to ‘Highlight Color’
    5. Look for ‘Sample’
    6. The color of the text and stroke is the current highlight color

    How To Change Highlight Color in Adobe After Effects CC 2023:

    1. Open the Console Panel (Cmd/Ctrl + F12)
    2. Click on Hamburger Menu
    3. Select Debug  Database View
    4. Search for ‘Color’
    5. Look for Enable_Theme_Colorizing
    6. Tick the box to change from ‘False’ to True
    7. Close the ‘Console Panel
    8. Click on ‘After Effects’ in the top Menu
    9. Click on ’Settings’
    10. Click on ‘Appearance’
    11. Go to ‘Highlight Color’
    12. Look for the new ‘Change Color’ button
