Today’s Ask Mike Anything came from a discussion on Facebook:

Question: What is the difference between 16:9 and 1080p for video?
Answer: The answer is there is no difference. 16:9 is what is called the aspect ratio for Wide Format video. So 16 is the wide and 9 is the height.

1080p is referring the resolution and it is what is widely known as full HD or high-definition video.
The actual size of 1080p video is 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels.
The actual size of 720p (standard HD) is 1280x720 pixels
The actual size of 4K video (to replace 1080p) is 3840x2160 pixels

What size to upload to YouTube?
1920x1080 pixels or 1080 p (aspect ratio= 16:9)
