Question: What is the difference between 16:9 and 1080p for video? Answer: The answer is there is no difference. 16:9 is what is called the aspect ratio for Wide Format video. So 16 is the wide and 9 is the height.

1080p is referring the resolution and it is what is widely known as full HD or high-definition video. The actual size of 1080p video is 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels. The actual size of 720p (standard HD) is 1280×720 pixels The actual size of 4K video (to replace 1080p) is 3840×2160 pixels

What size to upload to YouTube? 1920×1080 pixels or 1080 p (aspect ratio= 16:9)
