How To Create Encoding Presets in Adobe Media Encoder (AME) CC 2023:

  1. Go to the top menu and click Presets
  2. Click ‘Preset’
  3. Click ‘Create Encoding Preset’ or use the keyboard shortcut Cmd/Ctrl + N
  4. Enter ‘Preset Name’
  5. Select ‘Format’ (such as MP3)
  6. Click ‘Based on Preset’ drop-down menu and Select a Preset
  7. Make any modifications
  8. Click ‘OK’
  9. New preset will be located in ‘Preset Browser’ under ‘User Presets & Groups’

How To Use New AME Presets in Premiere Pro CC 2023:

  1. Open Premier Pro Project
  2. Edit Sequence (Timeline)
  3. Go to ‘Export’ tab
  4. Click on ‘Send to Media Encoder’ in the bottom right corner
  5. Switch to Adobe Media Encoder (AME)
  6. Go to the ‘Queue’ window where you will see the exported Premiere Pro sequence
  7. In AME, locate a new custom encoding preset
  8. Drag preset on top of the Premiere file listed in the queue.
