This tutorial will show you how to add and remove shortcuts to your favorite hard drives, network drives (Google, Dropbox, etc), folders and files in the Media Browser of Adobe Audition CC 2023 so you can quickly find audio files and import them in Audition.
What is the Media Browser in Audition?
It is like Finder on a Mac or Windows Explore on Windows but a Panel in Adobe Audition so you can find files on all drives and directories attached to your computer.

How To Add Shortcuts in the Media Browser of Adobe Audition CC 2023::
- Open Adobe Audition
- Open the Default Workspace or locate the Media Browser by clicking on the Window Menu and then checking ‘Media Browser’ to open the panel
- Select Volumes on the left side column to display contents on the right column.
- Navigate to a folder or file that you want quick access to
- Right-click and select ‘Add Shortcut’ or click on the Plus Icon (+) and select ‘Add Shortcut’
- All Shortcuts will be listed in the ‘Shortcuts’ section under the Volumes
- Click on any shortcut and look in the right column to view contents
- Locate audio files and drag them into Audition to Import/Open
- Repeat to add additional shortcuts or select multiple folders/files and bulk add shortcuts
How To Remove Shortcuts in the Media Browser of Adobe Audition CC 2023::
- Open Adobe Audition
- Open the Default Workspace or locate the Media Browser by clicking on the Window Menu and then checking ‘Media Browser’ to open the panel
- Go to the ‘Shortcuts’ section
- Right-click on any shortcut or click on the Plus Icon (+) and select ‘Remove Shortcut’
- Repeat to remove additional shortcuts or select multiple folders/files and bulk remove shortcuts
