What equipment and gear do I use to record this podcast?
What do I recommend for one man band and content creators in the planning stage of starting a podcast or ramping up content creation.
Question: Can I use green screens with my Logitech c920 webcam when I make screencast tutorials?
Answer: The answer is yes. The basics of green screening or chroma keying can be found in this B&H Video:
Screencasting Software
Screenflow
Camtasia
Microphone
XLR Cables
Cloud lifter or Fethead1
Audio Interface (Mixer or Audio Interface)
Interface to DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)
Dynamic Microphones (recommended for podcasting):
Dynamic microphones are widely used in broadcasting and podcasting because they are very good at only picking up sound right in front of them and rejecting all the unwanted sounds in the room. Do not require phantom power, but often ‘gain hungry’
Condenser Microphones: more sensitive, pick up more ambient or room noise. Requires phantom power.
**UPDATE** The Audio Technica ATR2100 increased to $79.99 on Amazon in the past 2 weeks!! This microphone used to sell from $35-50. It has become so popular with new podcasters that the price has skyrocketed.

Why do I write a script for my podcast and what is my process?
In this episode #40, what are the benefits of writing a script for my podcast and what does my process look like?
Question: When I launch my podcast and submit it to iTunes, will my podcast automatically be distributed to all of the other podcast directories?
Answer: The answer is no. You must submit your RSS feed manually to each podcast directory you want to be in. You only have to submit the RSS feed one time.
Popular Directories:
ITunes
Stitcher
Speaker
Google Play
Resource Mentioned:
Podcast Places
Bottom Line:
You only have to submit your RSS feed one time to each directory and then each new episode you publish, the RSS feed updates each directory for you automatically. Kind of like magic. Got it? Good.

What is Google Apps? What features do I use regularly? What are some unique ways podcasters and online brands can use Google Apps for their podcast or online business?
Question: Do I need expensive headphones to record my podcast or are Apple earbuds good enough? Answer: I do recommend you upgrading from the Apple earbuds if possible to headphones that will give you a flatter/cleaner sound so you can really hear any issues in your recording. *Tip:*Use your Apple buds for quality control as many of your listeners use them so you need to know how your show sounds on many different devices.
